Degas Gallery

Degas Gallery, the prestigious Slovak commercial gallery, is involved in the formation of important art collections, not only in Slovakia but also abroad, in the exhibitions and sales of works of famous artists, and in highlighting the perspective, yet underrated painters.

Gallery deals with a large number of collectors from business levels and due to its wide contacts and long tradition can acquire priceless works which may be unavailable from other galleries. With these contacts, Degas gallery organised such unique exbitions as of J.T. Mousson and Halász-Hradil in the State Gallery, in Kosice.

Degas Gallery also organised the unique exhibition of Works by Vincent Hloznik in the premises of Slovenská Sporiteľna (Slovak Saving Bank) from the period of 1940´s. The other interesting exhibition held by Degas Gallery was the 100 year anniversary of Koloman Sokol. Furthermore, regularly this gallery organizes exhibitions of important works by Slovak and Czech modernism artists in Piešťany and Žilina. Many works from a selection of the gallery have been published in monograph books of the painters or other in other  literature, some being obtained as restitution from National Gallery.

All assets offered in the Gallery Degas are consulted with renowned kunshistorikmi a judicial expert, optionally with conservators from the National Gallery in Bratislava. Pre Collection society ensures restoration gallery of pictures and frames well as certain consulting in the field.
